“THERE IS ANOTHER WORLD, BUT IT IS IN THIS ONE”
The quote ^ ? We can thank the internet for misattributing it to Yeats. The picture ^ ? I’m often asked. Truly, I cannot tell you the precise location. I was lost somewhere between Wyoming and Montana. I was looking at a map and lucky enough to recognize the view beside me. There is always a relationship between “lost” and “found.”
I practice Japanese Zen. I follow Quakerism. The Dalai Lama is neither, but he suggests that if something is useful then use it. I use a misattributed quote and a random pic because it says much about life and the nature of my work— bringing “worlds” into view. I provide Professional Coaching, Counseling, and Consulting services. I can guarantee that knowing the difference between each one matters.
Counseling
I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have 20 years of experience working with adults, children, and families. I have specific training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My professional interests are in the area of Trauma Informed Care.
I am presently under contract, and not providing counseling services independently. Feel free to contact for referral.
Consulting
“For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, then I shall know fully.”
Consulting is about seeing more. My approach to consulting is formed by a deep reverence for process. My doctoral work is in Action Research which focuses exclusively on change and transformation. The world comes into fuller view through the work we do, not by some written report that I pass off to you.
At this time, I am only offering consulting services pro bono to local (Pittsburgh area) nonprofits impacted by the current political climate.
Professional Coaching
My doctoral work is in Business Psychology, where I developed a coaching model grounded in Positive Psychology research. I am not currently accepting coaching clients due to commitments. But, I am a practicing Quaker, which makes me a bit of a Professional Friend. Always happy to provide advice if you buy lunch.
